Location of Project:
Marin Civic Center
San Rafael, CA
Owner:
County of Marin
Project Description:
Construction of new security barriers which were used to separate the County Courts area from the general public area in the Marin County Civic Center. Due to the building being original designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, it is a national landmark and all construction was required to be built to the original architectural standards. The project details called for the custom fabrication of curved walnut moldings along with the installation of period glass in plated window frames.
Murray Building, Inc. has recently constructed a project of my design for the Hall of Justice at the Marin County Civic Center in San Rafael, CA. The various architectural components of this project provide improved security conditions required by the Marin County Superior Court for conducting its operations.
All work was performed under various, demanding conditions and constraints often present when working within occupied areas of an existing public facility. All aspects of Murray Building, Inc’s. operations, including the associated administrative efforts handled by its office staff, were conducted with cooperative spirit and high level of professionalism. As results, the completed project received numerous compliments from users and from directors of the Frank Lloyd Wright Civic Center Conservancy.
As Architect for the project, I would highly recommend Scott Murray and his construction firm, Murray Building, Inc. to anyone seeking excellent results in a construction project.
